About
Saskia Carter is a German writer based in Berlin, where her American husband reads everything she writes (willingly, she swears).
She loves creating stories that place flawed but strong characters in extraordinary, sometimes magical circumstances. Some all-time favorites of hers are Evie O’Connell from The Mummy, Selene from Underworld, and Buffy The Vampire Slayer. Whether contemporary or fantastical, her stories inevitably feature two people falling wildly in love—often sweet, occasionally steamy, and always slow burn. In the words of her readers, she has the ability to “take a small moment and make it an event.”
Before dedicating more time to her writing, Saskia built a successful career in corporate communications. She received her BA in Media Management from the University of Applied Sciences Würzburg, earned her MCM from USC Annenberg in Los Angeles, and is the recipient of Fulbright, Quadrille Ball, and DAAD scholarships.
Outside of writing, she spends her time traveling, attempting anything creative (from oil painting to chainmail making), rewatching Buffy, or playing video games with her husband.
